Top 10 Awesome Points of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots 4
Spoiler Warning so if you don’t want anything spoiled for you if you got the game don’t read
10: Sunny: She is really adorable and plays a big part in the game that’s all I got to say due to her cuteness lol
9: All the Old Characters Coming Back: it is pretty damn sweet to have all the old characters throughout the Metal gear series to make one last appearance in this game
8: The Stress and Mental: That mechanic in the game was very interesting to keep under control and make it close to rea life
7: The Beauty & the Beast Unit: These four psycho chicks are damn fun to fight and their back stories are very interesting to listen to while the items they give you after you beat them are useful, I use the FaceCamo and Railgun the most
6: The Cutscenes: I know they can be a bit annoying at times due to their length and exploration, but are very interesting and are paced very well are a nice break from any fast pace action
5: The Character Development: It is good to see who each of the characters have gotten showing how much they have grown since their last appearance in the games
4: The Soundtrack: The soundtrack was right for every scene that needed a certain music
3: The Movie like feel Plot: The Plot had a strong feel to it and made the game feel like a movie that were interacting with
2: Raiden: Raiden was given the most character development of characters that support Snake and the dialogue between him and Snake was great and of cause he kicks ass in this game and this game helped showed he was right choice of being the protagonist for the highly successful Metal Gear Rising
1: The Ending: The Ending was very satisfying to this great game; Meryl and Colonel Roy finally mending their strained relationship, Meryl and Johnny getting married, Raiden being reunited with Rose and his son, Sunny finally having a friend and of cause the best one the final talk between Solid Snake and Naked Snake/Big Boss where the scene between them was very touching and nice way to end the game
This game was very great to play and by far one of the best games I have ever played and I highly recommend people get it and try it out
P.S. I got the game when I had my car accident so it most certainly brightened my mood

Point #2 especially resonated with me because even before Guns Of The Patriots I never understood why plenty of MGS fans got up in arms with Raiden being the protagonist in Sons Of Liberty instead of good. Granted not all changes are for the better but on the other series need to take risks and shake things up a bit in order to evolve and get better.
Speaking of Metal Gear Rising,I can totally comprehend and accept some fans not enjoying that spin off title of the Metal Gear Solid because of how Raiden should have retired and spent his days with his estranged family, but to praise Ground Zeros on the other hand is well just plain wrong considering the way it was marketed.
I am glad to hear that you enjoyed Guns Of The Patriots as much as I did when I completed it some time ago. I still have yet to try out Peace Walker.
The length of the cutscenes is the only thing that really bothered me a lot which I understand was necessary to flesh out the story and to tie everything together. There just was not enough gameplay for me.
Had Johnny and Meryl's relationship been give more screen time and not just occurring in this game,I could have excused it.
Finally the beauty and beasts were the least developed bosses in all of the series.
